Our History: Our school was incorporated and opened its doors in September of 1958 with two classrooms and a staff of four. Fifty-plus years later, TPP has evolved into 12 classes and with a staff of 24.
Our Philosophy: We believe that the early childhood experiences are crucial ones for children. To ensure that each child’s needs are met, we place emphasis on developmental theory. With a careful combination of cognitive skills and developmentally appropriate tasks, we create a relaxed environment which stimulates curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
Our Credentials: Our morning preschool program is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). Our Before and After School Program is licensed by MSDE’s Office of Child Care (OCC). We also enjoy our association with the Maryland Committee for Children and the Child Care Directors’ of Central Baltimore County.
Our Staff: Our teachers are fully approved by the Maryland State Department of Education with college degrees and Early Childhood Education credentials. Teachers are responsible for the curriculum and activities during the preschool hours, and are joined by a classroom assistant. Before and after preschool our staffing pattern provides for teachers, assistant teachers and additional staff who are approved by, and meet the requirements of MSDE’s Office of Child Care.

Extra hours: Our Before and After School Program offers longer hours and extra days in addition to the Preschool hours. This program is open from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Our Parents Day Out program is for children who will need extra hours occasionally. The fees are paid daily and are in addition to the preschool tuition.
