ACTIVITIES
|
Fellowship |
Our fellowship usually involves a dinner of some kind, a fun game or program and a devotion. It is usually held at the church either in Thompson Hall or in the newly renovated Youth Room. Some examples of programs we've done have been trust games, live bands, and movies in the media room. |
|
|
HS Forum |
Held every other Sunday after church in the Youth Room, this open discussion for HS is made to help the students cope with their problems. The lessons and discussions are centered around different chapters in the book Way To Live, some of those include Creation, Choices, and Friends. |
|
|
Lock-In |
Usually once every year, the MS and HS gather their sleeping bags to sleep in the church (or not sleep!) The program includes a dinner, a service related activity, an offsite activity (Laser Tag!) and some chill time before a devotion. |

MS/HS Presbytery Retreats |
The Baltimore Presbytery Youth Council hosts a MS retreat in the fall and a HS retreat in the spring, both held at Camp Wo-Me-To, near Bel Air. Youth Groups from all over the presbytery come, so you might be rooming with someone from western MD! The retreat theme is based on a movie, with keynotes and workshops centered around different aspects of the movie. There's always free time for games and crafts and movie watching Saturday night. Its a
guaranteed great time. The representative from TPC is Matt Custer, jeepguy1718@hotmail.com. |

Presbytery Youth Rally |
If you were unable to make it to the presbytery retreat, then the Youth Rally is for you. Also set up by the Youth Council, it is essentially a mini-retreat, only over a one day period. There will still be a keynote speaker and workshops and free time as well. If you are going to Triennium, then the Youth Rally is
necessary for being commissioned. It is usually held at a Presbyterian Church somewhere in the presbytery. |

|
Earth Day- Blue Jeans Sunday |
In celebration of Earth Day, our entire congregation wears work clothes to church on the Sunday closest to Earth Day. The Youth help out doing their own projects to improve the church and get ready for summer. |

|
Triennium |
The God of all retreats: Triennium. Once every three years,
Presbyterian youth from all over the WORLD descend on Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. This week long event features dynamic worship, in depth small groups and free time. For more info, visit http://www.presbyterianyouthtriennium.org/ or see the presbytery's web site in the time before the next Triennium. |

|
Youth Sunday |
Once every year, the youth of TPC take on the responsibility of planning and leading a church service. This includes developing the sermon, children's lesson, scriptures, hymns and much more. |
|
|
Workcamp |
Workcamp in 2006 took place in Gulfport, MS in response to Hurricane Katrina
devastated the Gulf Coast. The Youth of TPC felt the calling to go there and help the people in need. Activities included mold abatement, repairing a roof, building a shed, and tiling a floor. Workcamp in 2007 will be back in the Gulf Coast and in future years should be in the
Appalachian Mountains. |
