Embodying Scripture

Embodying Scripture is part Bible study and part liturgical drama group. Each meeting we’ll explore one of the scriptures on the worship schedule for the next month and then “embody” that scripture drawing on several techniques including – pantomime, (multi-voice) reader’s theater, (freeze-frame) tableaux, and echo scripture. The group will then share (perform) that scripture in worship the Sunday it’s scheduled. We will meet on the fourth Monday of the month and the date for our Sunday “offering/performance” will be determined after the group commences. Come once or each month, as your schedule allows.
Facilitator: From dance to mime to creative dramatics, using her voice and body and the creative arts has always been a part of Carol’s spiritual journey. During her almost 20 years at TPC Carol has participated in many of these types of activities in worship and at Camp BeeTree.
