Sunday Community Lunch: Relaunch

What was once TPC’s flagship mission endeavor is now receiving a post-pandemic relaunch and we couldn’t be more excited!

If you are new here, you may be asking: What is Sunday Community Lunch?

Each Sunday members of the Towson community who face food insecurity and/or homelessness are invited to Thompson Hall for lunch and fellowship. We have cherished this time to practice Christian hospitality and be the hands and feet of Jesus while getting to know some incredible people (both in the kitchen and around the tables)!

Sunday Community Lunch (SCL) is one of TPC’s “signature” missions, highlighting our commitment to addressing food insecurity in our community.   Started in 2010, SCL ran continuously every Sunday for 10 years until the Pandemic forced TPC to suspend the program in March 2020.  After a 2 ½ year hiatus, SCL is ready for re-launch! Each Sunday a team will gather at 9 a.m. in TPC’s kitchen to start the food prep, most members will got to church at 10a.m. leaving 1-2 members to watch the oven. At 12noon lunch is served and we share the meal and fellowship!

We invite ALL to come join us!
