Earth Care Congregation Certification Renewed!
TPC has been recertified as an Earth Care Congregation within the PC(USA) for 2022! Some of the highlights of our congregation’s creation care this past year include: design and construction planning for 2 rain gardens and a cistern to capture and release rainwater run-off from our building’s roofs and parking lots; the 12th year of our Intergenerational Garden; 100% wind energy for electricity; Project Clean Stream; hosted the viewing of the environmentally-themed films “Unbreathable” and “The Story of Plastic”; Joined Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake; and the “Plastic Reduction Challenge” this past summer.
